N-TRON Announces the Release of the 702-W Series Industrial Wireless Ethernet Radio

May 6, 2009, Mobile, AL, – N-TRON’s new 702-W Industrial Wireless Ethernet Radio offers the highest throughput of any industrial wireless device currently available. IEEE 802.11n support allows the 702-W to utilize three antennas and Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology for increased throughput, yielding much higher data rates than devices supporting only 802.11a/b/g. The 702-W supports 802.11a/b/g compatibility for existing wireless networks.
N-TRON’s legendary industrial toughness, the highest shock and vibration specifications in the industry, -40ºC to 70ºC operating temperature range, and one million hour MTBF are packaged in the 702-W’s robust wireless Ethernet solution. The 702-W will operate flawlessly in environments that would quickly cause less robust products to fail. Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology enables the 702-W to receive power through the Cat5e cable from a PoE sourcing device such as N-TRON’s 105TX-POE Switch or 100-PoE4 Midspan device. Network deployments are much easier using wireless and PoE technology because only one Cat5e cable is required. All of these features combine to provide a powerful combination: the highest data rates available, plus the ability to deploy a wireless network in environments where it was previously not possible. Web browser management and useful LED displays, including four user-definable LED’s, assure that configuring, maintaining, and assessing the status of the network is as user-friendly as possible.
